Ced Landrum - Owner and Instructor

Cedric was a four year letterman for the University of North Alabama and became the first UNA baseball player to reach the major leagues. He played 10 years professionally of which two were in the major leagues, one with the Chicago Cubs and the other with the New York Mets. He was a hitting coach with the Baltimore Orioles for 6 years. Cedric was inducted into the University of North Alabama Hall of Fame in 1997 and into the Marengo County Alabama Hall of fame in 2021. He currently coaches at Fort Worth Country Day School and for the Dallas Tigers West.

Jeff Jackson

With 14 years of coaching experience, Getting his start with MGSA in 2002 Jeff has a successful track record of developing softball players of all ages. He has helped athletes fulfill their dreams of playing in college and has coached many players who have realized their goals of playing at the NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO levels. Jeff focuses on the fundamentals of the game and the fact that it is just a game. With this philosophy he creates a foundation for long term success.

Catching Lessons

Shane Hickey

No flashy story here, but years and years of studying the game and using my science back ground to perfect the catching position. After high school travel ball with blown out knee and multiple ACL surgeries, being a player was no longer in my cards. So I dove into the role as an instructor. Over 10 years as a private catching instructor in the baseball and Fastpitch community in the DFW area. My success come from my players that improve playing levels every single year. My dream of playing lives on through the dreams of my catchers, and we will fight to get those goals.

Coaching over 20 different players each week, and have one of the biggest Fastpitch catchers clinic each week at the facility.
